We had the best time this weekend at our sectional sleepover! We had churches from all over north GA come and have a great time praising God, having a devotional, meeting Missy the Mouse, doing crafts and games. Thank you ladies for not only giving of your time and being willing to bring your girls, but for all you did to pitch in and make this such a great sleepover!

We had a great time at Graduation this year! We are so proud of our girls and thankful for the awesome parental support! We would also like to give a great BIG thank you to all of our teachers and Miss Kristin! The love you give these girls each week is making an eternal investment into God's Kingdom!

I want to offer a huge thank you to everyone that made yesterday's bake sale a success. God blessed us even more than ever before, providing scholarship money for girls to attend summer camp, and much needed curriculum funds.

Everyone outdid themselves this year, making the most beautiful and scrumptious desserts I have seen yet! Please know that God blessed your generosity and I couldn't be more pleased knowing that the girls have what they need!

The 2010 Bake Sale is On!

It's time again for our Annual Bake Sale!

Please sign up at guest services to bake your prettiest and most scrumptious baked goods.

The proceeds will help fund the Mpact Girls Ministry and provide scholarship opportunities for girls that can't afford to go to summer camp.

WHAT: Mpact Girls Bake Sale
WHEN: Mother's Day (May 9th)
TIME: Drop off baked goods anytime from before Sunday School to before church starts. Purchase your baked good as soon as possible as they go fast!

WHAT TO BAKE: Cheese cakes, cakes (especially red velvet), pies are the most popular sellers. Brownies, cup cakes and cookies as well as breads are do well. Anything you bake will be appreciated!

Mpact Girls Art Show

This past Wednesday, February 18th the girls had an art show and served cookies and coffee. We had a GREAT turnout and everyone enjoyed themselves! The adults kept telling me how impressed they were with the girls and their art work and the girls were blessed to be so affirmed. Thank you to all who brought cookies, to the parents who support our girls and to all the adults that came out and blessed our girls. I know you received a blessing as well!

This Sunday is National Mpact Girls Sunday! Our Children will be singing Mpact Girls songs during our worship service this Sunday so please worship the Lord with them!

Also, please pray about becoming involved in this vibrant ministry. Bring your girls so that they can join in our clubs and grow in the Lord. There is a place for everyone, child and adult alike as we are all members of the same body. God has called some to teach, some to sew, some to bake. God may be calling you to be a seamstress, sewing badges on our uniforms. He may be asking you to plan special events. We were blessed by some ladies of our church a few years ago. They planned an authentic luau for us! They provided all the food and even the decorations. We had the best time! Maybe you are from another country and God would have you to plan an event like this to teach the children about your country. Perhaps you are being called to plan a Mother-Daughter tea. Perhaps crafts are your thing and you are called to come and do crafts with the kids.

Whatever your gifting, no matter how much time you can give, there is a place for you in this exciting ministry!

Friends Retreat 2008

I wanted to share pictures with you from the 2008 Friends Retreat at Jekyll Island. We met with Jr. high and Sr. high girls from all over the state of Georgia. Several girls accepted Jesus as their personal savior and Lord at retreat, and most of the girls got closer to the Lord. The alter was full of girls seeking God each night. PTL!

One of the neatest things that happened on the retreat was that we were in the middle of a tropical depression. It rained the whole time we were there, off and on. That's the neat part - the off and on of the rain. You see God worked it out so that when it was time for us to hit the beach it would stop raining! When we would go indoors, it would rain again. We even had thunder and lightning, but not when we wanted to be on the beach!

These four girls were a joy to bring on this trip and a blessing to Miss Kristin and I. I pray that God fan the flames of their love for Him so that they are so on fire for Him that they start a revival right in their schools!

STARS CAMP 2008

This was our speaker, Olga Vigil from the National Girls Ministries Office in Springfield, MO. She helps make our curriculum. She was a great speaker and taught us that we need to let our roots grow deep into Jesus!

Here are Ashley and Grace performing their duet in the middle of a cornfield! Our Theme was Hee Haw Hoedown. We went on a hay ride, made s'mores, and hunted for cow patties! (Don't know what a cow patty is? Ask one of the girls that went!)

Bake Sale Success!

God is so good! He really blessed our bake sale this year! We made more this year than we ever have in the past! I want to send out a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone that baked, bought baked goods and helped me man the tables. We will be able to send our girls to camp thanks to all your efforts!

Bake Sale May 11th

Ah, Spring is in the air. The smells are incredible. Lilac, Grape Hyacinth, Cheesecake. Cheesecake? That's right cheesecake. I would like to open the opportunity for our church to show off it's baking skills. On Mother's Day May 11th we are sponsoring a bake sale our Mpact Girls. We will also give you the opportunity to bake items to be sold in the cafe so that we can all enjoy a relaxing cup of coffee and a cinnamon roll.

If you would like to get in on the fun, please call or email Debbie Parker to let her know what you will be bringing to the bake sale. And by all means don't forget your Mother on Mother's day. Buy her a baked item and bless her!

Dutch Mill Bulb Flower Sale

It's that time of year again! Spring is almost upon us and it is time to think of beautiful flowers. The Mpact Girls Friend's class will be selling Dutch Mill Bulb Flowers this month. They will be at the guest services counter after church this Sunday March 9th and again on the following Sunday March 16th. Each package is only $5.00 so it is definitely worth buying your flowers from our girls to help them raise enough money to go to their annual retreat. This retreat is held at Jekyll Island and they will meet with all the Friend's and Girls Only Club members from the entire state of Georgia. It is a time of spiritual growth, encouragement, and fun. If you do not have a green thumb, please consider making a donation to help them.

Mpact Girls Sleepover

Last Friday night February 22nd we had our annual sleepover. My husband says we should call it, "You ain't gonna get no sleepover" because we never get much sleep, but we pack our time full of fun! We played games, ate pizza and snacks, painted finger nails, did make-overs, watched movies, and had awesome girl time. Thank you leaders for contributing your time, talents, and love to make this the best sleepover we ever had. Thank you parents for your support in bringing the girls and providing drinks and food!
